Bluebeard's Castle St. Thomas

Standing on a hilltop overlooking the sparkling blue harbor and the town of Charlotte Amalie, Bluebeard’s Castle Hotel offers spectacular vistas. Legend has it—and some romantics still insist—that the stone tower on the hotel’s grounds was built by the pirate Bluebeard for his one true love, Mercedita. Actually, the Danish built it as a watchtower in the 1600s to supplement the Fort Christian fortress.

Each unit has a terrace and a kitchenette complete with microwave, dishes, toaster, coffeemaker, and refrigerator.
